GSBF Bonsai Collections

 

GSBF maintains two Bonsai Collections. One in Northern California at the Oakland Lake Merritt Garden and one in Southern California at the Huntington Botanical Gardens.

Collection North

 

The Collection North, permanent home to some of the finest Bonsai in Northern California, is a joint project with the City of Oakland. Tax deductible donations to support the garden are always gratefully accepted. Your donations may be left at the Collection Garden or mailed to: Golden State Bonsai Collection – North, P. O. Box 16176, Oakland, CA 94610-6176.

Collection North Docent Schedule

 Volunteer docents greet visitors and answer questions. More volunteers are always needed. Use the questionaire below to apply to become a docent.

Bonsai Court - click for larger image and more info In a joint effort to build a world-class bonsai collection for the public in Southern California, the Golden State Bonsai Federation and the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens established the GSBF Collection at the Huntington in 1993. Viewing Stones - click for larger image and more info Today, the growing collection features bonsai masterpieces and viewing stones from noted artists throughout the region, and is curated by the internationally known bonsai master, Ben Oki.
