Club Members Officers
DAI ICHI BONSAI KAI MEMBERSHIP ENROLLMENTClub Purpose: Dai Ichi Bonsai Kai (“Number One” Bonsai Club) was establish in January 1986 and takes great pride in its family oriented character. Our club dedicated to promoting the art of bonsai and the growth and mutual understanding of this living art. Our membership includes bonsai artists and enthusiasts from master to novice, young to old, and actively participates in the California bonsai community. Other club activities include bonsai digs, auction, potting parties, and outing to nurseries and private garden Meetings: Regular club meetings are held on the third Friday of the month at the Ken Nakaoka Community Center, Room A, 1700 West 162nd St., Gardena, California. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and usually feature guest demonstrators who work on a tree of their choice and share their knowledge with those attending the meetings. The demonstration is followed by a benefit drawing, and is open to the public Special Events: Dai Ichi Bonsai Kai hosts its annual exhibit in May, club picnic in July, and Christmas gathering in December. Members, their families, and honored guests are invited to these events.
