March 25 Santa Cruz, California - Santa Cruz Bonsai Kai:  Bonsai Show, Sunday, March 25th From 10:00 A.M. To 4:30 P.M. Demonstration By Katsumi Kinoshita At 2:00 PM. Santa Cruz Elk’s Lodge, 150 Jewell St. Santa Cruz, Ca. Admission:  Suggested donation $3. Plant Sales, door prizes, benefit drawing of demo tree and more. Tea and cookies served.

March 31-April 1 San Jose, California - San Jose Betsuin Bonsai Club: 37th Annual Spring Exhibit at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 North Fifth Street.  Hours are Saturday 12noon-5PM and Sunday 11AM-4PM. April 14-15  Sacramento, California American Bonsai Association of Sacramento:
Annual Spring Show & Sale at McKinley Park Garden & Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd. Show hours are 10AM-5PM, both days. Demonstration at 1:30PM both days. Benefit raffle follows the demonstrations. March 16, 2007 MEETING
Demonstration 7:00–8:00PM
There will be a lecture and demonstration by Jim Ransohoff. He has had 250 plus hours of study with Gondo san who is the top Japanese Satsuki master.

Workshop 8:00-10:00
Jim wants members to bring in their azalea bonsai that they believe can be improved. Those that do please bring in your tools and aluminum wire. There will be NO repotting at this meeting; however, it will be discussed.

Members, please be sure to bring in your bonsai: either Satsuki or Kurume or Glendale, since this will be the larger portion of the session.

Show and Tell should be your Satsuki or Kurume or Glendale examples.

2007 Kusamura Bonsai Show
This year will mark the show’s return to Mitchell Park, a long-standing home of the club show, located at 3800 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303.  The show date will be April 28–29, 2007.  Sandy Planting is the Show Chair. Stay tuned for news about member roles in producing the show.  Friday, April 27 will be the day we deliver our plants to Mitchell Park for the plant sale. Please call (Stephanie) to verify time and initial setup of backdrops, etc.
