7:00-10p.m. Holiday Party --
Kusamura Members Only
It's time to rest
on our laurels for a moment and gather together for
a delicious dinner, entertainment, and good
fellowship at the annual Kusamura Holiday Potluck.
The club will provide a baked ham and turkey roll,
wine, coffee, and plastic and paper place settings.
Each club member or family is asked to bring 8-10
servings of a favorite holiday dish. Your
contribution may be an appetizer, casserole, side
dish, salad, or dessert. The years have taught us
that we should have a wonderful variety of dishes
without calling people in advance. It seems a bit
risky, but so far it has always worked out. Please
bring your food table-ready with (if necessary) a
serving utensil. Spouses, other family members, or
best friends are, of course, welcome to attend,
too.
We will be
meeting in the Fellowship Room, our usual meeting
place, and it will be a little cozy--the better to
get better acquainted. Because of the restricted
space, we will have no show and tell or raffle, and
the library will not be open. Katie Gleason and
Stephanie North have graciously agreed to do the
decorations.
For
entertainment, we will have a talk and slide show
by Gordon Deeg. His subject will be his time with
Yasuo Mitsuya at his bonsai nursery in Japan.
We hope that
everyone will be able to attend Kusamura's party,
but if you can't, we wish you an enjoyable holiday
season and a Happy New Year.
