May Meeting
NOTE
TIME CHANGE
MEETING 6:30 TO 9:00
Meeting
time change due to St, Mark’s schedule change. They will be
hosting the homeless the evening of Friday May 19th
TECHNIQUES PROGRAM
6:30 PM
Jim Ransohoff will address the
issues of bad water and azaleas.
For the first hour
of the May meeting, Jim will devote the time to telling
members and guests with bad water what they can do to get
rid of salts and reduce their ph, and what it is that
azaleas need to thrive in our area. The balance of the first
hour will be a quick and easy way to set up an irrigation
system for watering their bonsai.
MAIN MEETING 7:30 TO
9:00 pm
Jim Ransohoff will use the
remaining 1 & 1/2 hours to continue talking about azaleas.
He will give a short lecture on styling, care, and
maintenance. Jim hopes as many people as possible will bring
in their azaleas that they have questions or problems with
so he can help them.
JUNE MEETING
The meeting in June
will be by Lonnie McCormick. He will continue instruction
for the summer care of black pines, including an all-at-once
decandling method that is different from that described by
Marty Mann. So, wait until June and the meeting to decandle
your pines. This will be a workshop.
