November Meeting

Selecting Pots
Back
by popular demand! John Planting will conduct an
illustrated discussion of what plant goes with what
pot and vice versa. Dimensional, color, and shape
relationships will be explored. Members are urged
to bring in plants that they are having trouble
matching with a suitable pot, and pots they were
unable to resist buying but now wonder what to
plant in them. All present will be invited to help
resolve these problems following John's prior
suggestions.
Two Juniper Demos
Sandy
Planting will instruct us by creating a spectacular
bonsai that combines a large, tall lacerock with a
beautiful juniper in full cascade style. In
addition, Lonnie McCormick will style a small
juniper bunjin which will be raffled.

Bonsai Federation is holding its
23rd
Annual Convention at the Oakland Marriott at
City Center, 10th and Broadway, Oakland. For
registration and information, contact Susan Charles

Don't miss this one! If you find that you can't
attend the entire convention, consider signing up
for a single day. You will see some fine
demonstrations, a beautiful exhibit, and be able to
shop, shop, shop in a great bazaar.
