NEXT MEETING -- September 12, 2003 This month is a very special event. 7:00p.m. Meeting Yasuo Mitsuya, preeminent bonsai artist from Japan will be our speaker/demonstrator. Kathy Shaner will be on hand as his interpreter. Those who attended Mr. Mitsuya's recent presentation in Santa Rosa know what wonderful work he can do and how great it would be to win one of his bonsai creations from our raffle! Please be on time as Mr. Mitsuya's program will begin at 7p.m. All of us own Mr. Mitsuya a huge dept of gratitude for sharing his talent with us and for taking as apprentices from California such bonsai artists as Kathy Shaner and Dennis Makishima. I'm sorry our website hasn't been updated during the past two months, but I've been very busy. I seem to be amost caught up and so the website will get more work soon. Saturday 12:00 noon to 6:00p.m. Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Demos at 2:00 p.m. both days by instructor Tom Yoshio Yanari. September 20-21. San Mateo Bonsai Club, at the Central Park Recreation Center, 50 East 5th Avenue at El Camino Real, San Mateo. Saturday 12:00 noon to 6:00p.m. Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Demos at 2:00 p.m. both days.  September 27. GSBF Collection-North Volunteer Appreciation Day at GSBF Collection-North on Bellevue Drive in Lakeside Park, Oakland, CA. All Collection-North volunteers and their families as well as those thinking about becoming volunteers are welcome. The day's activities commence at 2:00 p.m. BBQd hot dogs, chicken and ribs as well as salads and desserts will be featured. Donations of salads and desserts as well as help setting up would be appreciated.
